Family life

You’ll notice that there isn’t any high key white back drop stuff in my family gallery. I just don’t do it. For me it has all the personality of magnolia wall paint. White washed rooms aren't where our families are at their best.

I take the families I photograph out on location. Or I meet them in their own homes. I find that children in particular, come out of their shells when given the space to explore, enjoy and play in their environment.

In a family shoot you can expect your gallery to include individual portraits of each member, the group as a whole and in smaller combinations. I find this works well for capturing the individual relationships within the family, Father and son, siblings together, parents on their own as a couple.
